Kim Wilkins

I am Professor in Media Aesthetics and Head of Screen Cultures at the University of Oslo, where I also co-direct the Media Aesthetics Research Group. My areas of expertise are film and television studies. In 2027/8, together with Timotheus Vermeulen, I will co-lead The Politics of Tone project at the Centre for Advanced Study (CAS) at The Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters.

My current research examines contemporary film and television and the aesthetics of gentrification. I also work on contemporary American cinema and television. I am the Book Q&A section co-editor for Mediapolis: A Journal of Cities and Culture.
